The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced in a statement on Monday, July 20, the ongoing year’s T20 World Cup has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The tournament was scheduled to be played in Australia between October 18 and November 15 this year, according to a statement from the ICC.

“The International Cricket Council (ICC) today confirmed the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia 2020 has been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic,” ICC said in its statement.

Afghanistan and the rest 13 countries will participate in the 2020 World Cup, T20 matches.
