KABUL, Afghanistan – The Afghan counter narcotics police nabbed man during an operation in Police District 11 of the Kabul city, the Ministry of Interior said in a statement Monday.  

According to the statement, the counter narcotics police on Sunday carried a series of operations to identify local drug traffickers in the capital.

At least one man arrested for smuggling and reselling drugs in the city.

The security officials discovered and seized some alcoholic beverages and intoxicating drugs, at least $23,550, including AFG357,500 cash, one Kalashnikov, one pistol, one shotgun, and one car during the operation.

Officials did not provide further details on the suspect, but said is introduced to judicial court after preliminary investigation.
