Acting Minister of Interior Masoud Andarabi marches the aisle guarded, as he visited Balkh to assess security officials commitment to the post.

BALKH, Afghanistan – The Ministry of Interior Affairs dismissed at least 14 of its security officials in Northern Province of Balkh, the Ministry said in a statement said Sunday, after weighing their commitment to the posts.

According to the statement, Acting Minister of Interior Masoud Andarabi fired at least 14 security officials for lack of commitment to their responsibilities, as the Ministry bid to build a stronger body against ongoing security threat and criminal offenses in the country.

Among the officials are head of the Directorate of Criminal Crime and other field offices throughout the province.

The immediate action came after the Acting Minister Andarabi visited Balkh province on Saturday for assessing their past achievements to the position.
