Presidential Palace states, that President Ashraf Ghani met with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim Bin Ahmad Al Thani on Tuesday, both parties held an official session of dialogues in relations to improved bilateral relations, economic cooperation, and Afghanistan’s peace process.
Emir of Qatar admired President Ghani’s efforts toward the Afghan peace process, the statement adds.
President Ghani, thanked the Qatari government for their warm welcome.
Sheikh Tamim expressed his fondness, “We hope our joint efforts will help Afghanistan find peace and stability.”
Qatar gave great importance to bilateral ties, economic expansion, and setting the opportunities for a joint exertion.
President Ghani on the other hand articulated the investment opportunities in fields of natural gas, mining, renewable energy and reportedly expressed the willingness for joint trade cooperation with the government of Qatar.
“We want our products to reach the markets of Qatar,” the statement quoted President Ghani.
The Afghan delegation’s visit to Qatar was embraced by the Sheikh, besides the relevant authorities will be instructed to work together with the Afghan government for further enhancements in bilateral, economical, and political relations.
