The Senior Security Leadership meeting chaired by the National Security Adviser was held to discuss the security situation in Afghanistan’s capital and other provinces, the National Security Council said in a statement.

According to the statement, National Security Adviser, Hamdullah Mohib, chaired the Senior Security meeting on Saturday, October 10, to discuss the important issues related to security situation of the country and progresses made.

The statement added that the meeting focused on equipping the forces to ensure better security in the provinces.

The meeting comes as the war-torn country has seen a surge in violence and insecurities.
