Local officials in Bamyan province reported four members of the special police force were killed by Taliban insurgents in Shibar district of the province.

Sadeq Moradi, the police chief of Bamyan province, said the incident took place on Saturday in Hunter’s Valley of Shibar district.

Moradi added that a special police unit had been sent to the area to prevent possible Taliban attacks on the Baghak checkpoint.

According to him, the special police unit was caught in a militant ambush, where four soldiers were killed and two others were wounded.

Meanwhile, last week, the Taliban attacked security checkpoints of Baghak village in Shibar district of Bamyan province, establishing their attacks from Talah and Barfak district of Baghlan province.
