BAGHLAN, Afghanistan – At least two Afghan forces, including a People’s Uprising Forces, killed in an attack the Taliban carried against security post in Barakai district of Baghlan province, local authorities confirmed.

The attacked was carried by Taliban affiliated groups, acording to officials.

Nazir Najeem, spokesman for the Baghlan province, in a phone interview with Afghan News said the incident occurred at around 2am Tuesday morning in Qara Cha area of Barakai district.

According to Najeem, at least two forces, including a PUF members killed during clashes, and further two injured.

The battle still ongoing between the Taliban and uprising forces, he said, as back up support team of the Afghan forces were deployed to the area.

Meanwhile, the Taliban bore heavy casualty, Najeem said, but did not further details.

Taliban did not immediately commented on the claim.

The battle came at a time, Afghan government and the Taliban are negotiating on peace and solidarity inn Afghanistan.
